A great way to get connected is to join a small group. Involvement in a Small Group encourages growth in relationships, excites our faith, and provides support. Small groups help answer many questions about spiritual matters. The goal is to help each person mature in Christ. Small groups are open to anyone. Nothing beats a group of friends that are there for you each week to help you stay connected and do life together.

Lakeside Small Group Invite

“If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together” (African Proverb).

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either one of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NIV).

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV).

Hi Lakeside family! We’re guessing many of us are beginning to miss the in-person connections and fellowship we’re used to enjoying together at Lakeside gatherings. Normal rhythms of life have been interrupted and we’re trying to find gears we can run in and scaffolding that won’t crumble beneath us. Many of us are craving meaningful spiritual community. Lakeside leadership see now as an important opportunity for us to support each other. We’re better together!

We want to connect and support one another. And we want to continue to take our next steps with Jesus. We guess that many of you do too. Would you like to connect in small groups online through the social media platform, Zoom? Our senior’s Bible study group met virtually on Thursday morning with significant participation and encouragement. It was different than normal but still meaningful as we connected to Jesus and to one another. We were encouraged, built up and supported in following Jesus. And we had fun!

Over the next few weeks, we anticipate other virtual small groups will likely form. For those of you who are already in small groups, we hope you feel freedom and encouragement to continue meeting virtually! If you would like to participate in a new small group, please contact Pastor David or Pastor Joshua so you can benefit from virtually gathering with other followers of Jesus. Take a next step and join a new small group at Lakeside – where you can belong, connect and grow as we seek to support one another in our new normal, and in boots-on-the-ground living. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
